Each summer our Foundation Stage pupils visit the local Royal Lifeboat National Station in Lytham St. Annes.  The children have the opportunity to explore and learn about the Lifeboat service, beach safety and see the boats and equipment at the station.  Last year our pupils had the privilege of viewing the brand new £3m boat 'Barbara Ann' launched in early 2018.

To support the RLNI we always ask for donations for the visit and today we were proud to present a cheque for £250 to members of the Lytham St. Annes team.

Mr D Moulden and Mr A Sleet, who give up their time as RNLI volunteers, attended the academy to receive the donation and spend some additional time with the pupils who had visited in summer to say thank you.

Mr Shepherd said "We are so very lucky to have such important learning opportunities on our doorstep and we work hard to ensure that we make the most of them. We are very happy to thank the RNLI team today for their continued support during our annual visits which will continue in 2019 and beyond".
