On Tuesday in Science, 5S were testing the features of everyday materials, to trail them for their use as an umbrella material. The children first predicted their findings and decided upon which material they thought would be best and then set off testing the materials. As you can imagine, there were lots of spills and laughs as the children explored the materials and discovered that even though a towel is used to absorb water, it would not work as an umbrella material! 5S finished the lesson by writing up their findings and concluding which material best suited the job.
