Our EYFS children were delighted to welcome a very special visitor to school — PC Savage from Blackpool Police Force!
During her visit, PC Savage spent time talking to the children about the important role the police play in our community and, most importantly, how we can all help to keep ourselves and others safe. The children listened carefully as she explained what police officers do and the different resources they use to help them in their work.
The children were fascinated to learn about some of the equipment and technology used by the police, including police dogs, handcuffs, helicopter and drones. There were lots of curious questions and plenty of excited conversations as the children discovered more about the world of policing.
One of the highlights of the visit was a fun and creative activity where PC Savage took the children's fingerprints. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting involved and were fascinated by their unique fingerprints!
To finish the session, everyone settled down together to enjoy a story about police officers and their children. It was a lovely opportunity to learn, talk and share a story together.
Our EYFS children showed wonderful curiosity throughout the visit. They asked thoughtful questions, listened beautifully and embraced every opportunity to learn something new.
