What is the Sports Premium?
The Sports Premium grant is additional funding from the government to improve provision of Physical Education (PE) and sport in primary schools. It is also for improving the health and well-being of primary pupils.
How is Sports Premium money claimed by the school?
Schools and academies receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6.
How is the Sports Premium used?
Schools and academies can choose how to spend their Sports Premium money to improve provision of PE and for improving health and well-being of pupils. As an academy we plan how we are going to spend this money on an annual basis. In order to ensure that the use of the money is successful this is reviewed throughout the year and evidenced in the annual report.
