What is a PTFA?
A Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) is intended to bring together parents, teachers and the local community who would like to be involved in organising fun activities and events to both raise funds for the academy and develop a greater sense of community.
At Hawes Side Academy the PTFA is currently a small group who are hoping to expand as membership increases.
All parents, staff and friends of Hawes Side Academy are welcome to take a part in the PTFA. All offers of help are welcome, no matter how large or small. For instance, you may be great at organising events, brilliant at selling raffle tickets or making cakes, or just be happy to help by being part of a team. You may even prefer to help from afar by doing something as simple as donating a raffle prize. We are sure there is something every single one of us can do and every offer of help will help us achieve our goal of enhancing the experience of our pupils whilst at Hawes Side Academy.
The PTFA meet each month (during term-time), please do come along and join us.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 21st November at 4.30 p.m.
We are currently planning for our upcoming End of Year events.
For further information please either contact the school office or email.
