Our Meal Service - Currently we are offering a cold meal option only due to the coronavirus pandemic

From September 2017 we welcomed P&A food services to the Hawes Side Academy family, who continue to deliver exciting, nutritious and delicious food to our pupils.
Through Boris the Beetroot, the Primary School Mascot and the newest addition to the P&A team, P&A help the academy promote a healthy way of living.
Boris also helps our younger customers make informed decisions on the nutritionally balanced menus we offer.
All of our food is freshly prepared on the academy premises and served by a friendly team of staff from P&A and the academy.
Pupils in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal and will automatically receive a meal in the academy if parents wish.
Pupils in Year 3 to Year 6 no longer receive a Universal Free School Meal. If parents would like their child to continue with school meals these will need to be paid for in advance using the Parent Pay system.
Pupils who are eligible for a Free School Meal will receive this automatically.
We urge all parents of pupils who may be eligible for a Free School Meals to register for this entitlement. A successful registration will not only mean the availability of a free school meal but also that the academy will receive an additional £1320 per year to support your child, whether the meal is taken or not.  Further information of how to apply can be found here.
Facilities are also provided for pupils who take a packed lunch.

A brand new menu is now available
